Our team ensures that applications integrated with our platforms are high-quality and trustworthy. Working closely with other Facebook teams, we investigate and detect apps not compliant with our Platform Policies. We work to improve the platform experience for users, publishers and developers through the use of automated detection tools, strategic manual review, data analysis, guidance, and coordination with product teams. Our team is looking for a strong team player to support our global developer community and ensure the best possible user experience across our platform products. In this position, you will interface with internal teams such as Partnerships, Policy, Legal, Marketing and Engineering, as well as with external developers and publishers. A successful candidate for this role will have strong data skills, be a strong user/developer advocate, have the ability to work with successfully with multiple teams, be able to identify opportunities to improve user experience through workflows, documentation and interfaces, be biased toward action, have the ability to make quick and informed decisions, and enjoy working in a challenging environment.DATA SPECIALIST, DEVELOPER OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute data development initiatives to make data stable, robust, and accurate across tools and systems
  • Leverage quantitative analysis, technical knowledge, and data presentation to identify trends and opportunities to improve the performance of our operations
  • Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives
  • Develop, maintain and advocate for regular monitoring and reporting from centralized tools
  • Develop actionable metrics and regularly generate data driven recommendations
  • Partner closely with relevant cross-functional stakeholders to collect business context and do root cause analysis
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance/Commerce, Applied Economics or similar technical field
  • 3+ years experience in quantitative analysis using SQL on large data sets
  • 2+ years experience in building and testing data flow pipelines
  • Experience thriving when faced with ambiguous problems and experience leading complex projects independently
  • Experience communicating about data and data processes to non-technical stakeholders who are the users of systems involving metrics, pipelines, and workflows
  • Experience managing stakeholders with competing priorities in a dynamic and changing environment
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with policy and regulatory environments
  • Experience in one of more of the following programming languages: Python, PHP
